During this period, the Mongol Empire rose to power, invading the far east an d conquering many of the major countries in Central Asia. It also expanded to North Africa and established new trade routes across the Mediterranean. This period also saw the rise of the Ming dynasty and the birth of modern China.This gave the United States a chance to emerge from its isolationism. During this period, the development of the printing press gave the first Englishmen the means to spread the ideas of the new religion called Calvinism across the world. The US also started to develop the centralized federal government that helped solve many of the problems that are still with us today.For those of you who are new to the topic, I hope this paper has given you a better idea of what happened during this period in our history.
