Website Improvement of www.easycar.com Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Website Improvement of www.easycar.com - Essay Example From vans to luxury cars the online car rental operates in 60 different countries. The website can be more colorful and trendy, a darker color would suit the website much more rather than orange for example a combination of black with maroon. The website is difficult to access through slower internet connections because itââ¬â¢s resource heavy. Another point that would make a negative impact on the viewer is the clustered written material present on the web pages, a simple solution is to divide the content on more web pages. Another more feasible, interactive and innovative way would be to study the type of customers that are generating the most traffic on the website and then make a home page that gives the user an option to select his or her type and then the selected option would lead the viewer to his desired web page. This would not only lighten the resource weight but would also make the website matter specific making the website much easier to use. The book now and pay late r is a very innovative offer that is being given to the user hence it should be promoted in a better and more effective way, a separate web page can be assigned to this section. The category of prestige cars can be further divided into SUVs, sports and luxury cars, making the website more specific in terms of car selection. The prestige car section should have more details and attributes of the cars available mainly because of two reasons. Firstly the cars are expensive and it would be much better that a customer selects exactly what he or she wants, secondly the car specifics and attributes would invite more people to view the website. All this would eventually result in improving customer satisfaction. Another new feature that would make the website more interactive and innovative can be added by the name of car comparison. This would not only enable the user to compare cars to help him or her in analyzing the cars more effectively

Electrical Engineering :: Graduate Admissions Essays
Electrical Engineering My decision to pursue graduate study in the United States is underscored by my desire to be a part of the graduate program at your institution. Purdue University offers the flexibility needed for such a vast and rapidly changing field. The research facilities and the faculty at the university are par excellent. Communications is an industry that has changed our lives. In a very short period it has changed the way we have looked at things since centuries. It is one industry that is going to shape our future for centuries to come. Hence my desire to do masters in electrical engineering with communications as my major. My interest in electronics blossomed during my high school years. It was the time when technology had begun to make an impact on the lives of people in India. Hence engineering with electronics as my major was the first choice for my undergraduate studies. Right since the beginning of my undergraduate study electronics is a subject that has fascinated me with its power of applications. The subjects that I have studied include Linear Electronics, Digital Electronics. These laid the foundation for my courses in Electronic Communication & Communication Systems at a later stage. My undergraduate studies already focus on the communications aspect of electronics. A masters degree in electrical engineering with communications as major field is the next logical step. For the past four months I have been working as a project trainee at the Indian Institute for Advanced Electronics. I am working on the design and development of a "PC Controlled Digital Serial Data Generator". This short stint has given me invaluable practical experience. It has given me the confidence to pursue a masters degree and also kindled a desire to do research. During the course of my work at IIAE, I have come across several scientists. Most of them work in different areas of communications. Interactions with them have made me realize the vastness and the scope of communications. My discussions with them convinced me that specializing in communications will suit me very well. The subject of research which interests me very much is spread spectrum communication systems. Coding theory and combinations is another research subject which arouses my curiosity. The subject Communication Theory which I am studying at present introduces these topics in theory.

Film and the Emirates: When will the Arabs take the chance?
Why do we need to set our films in United Arab Emirates? Such a simple question but with a vague answer. No matter how much we try to understand and analyze it, maybe we will have a hard time figuring out why there is a need to go in a place where almost everything is prohibited but in the end, this question will not be raised unless we donââ¬â¢t understand what the situation is in United Arab Emirates and how good their film industry goes. Seeking how good the industry in the Emirates is not as hard as it seems but the way they see film does not seem to be in a good way. Perhaps they have been concerned with their personal feelings and not with what will attract the foreign people in their land. Although the government was only trying to protect their country from controversies and unjust exposure, they were not making things easier for the producers and film makers who wanted to portray reality. Apparently, there were no such good movies in the Arabs. Not that they produce ugly films but because they limit themselves from the great possibilities and stories which will make a big hit in their film industry. They don't see the possibility of having big hit movies but they also seem to mislead people from reality. Since the government does not allow political plots nor do they want controversial stories, they choose the foreign films that they want the people to see carefully and once they werenââ¬â¢t satisfied in a single shot because of either a controversial topic or maybe because the makers showed the country in a poor way. They tend to give a scrutinizingly critic every foreign film, aligning everything with their goal of giving a good impression to the people. Attempts to have a better film industry Despite of the current situation of film in the Emirates, there were few attempts that shows how good films were in the Emirates. They seldom consider film as a way of making their industry better but at this point, the Emirates is ready to finally open their doors if we will consider their moves as of the moment. In June 2008, a digital film archive of the Emirates history was seen by the people. Although much of these films were documentaries about the history of the Emirates, this step showed that they were indeed ready for a revamp and change in their film industry. In present, Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage was asked to develop a film commission with an order to promote Abu Dhabi as a film location. These attempts to open the doors for foreign films were great steps to have a better film industry and to promote the country as well but if people mislead their real intention, they might blew everything away and end up with nothing but just Emirates, their people and their film industry. Foreign Films Shot in the Emirates: Censorship and Defense In the last four years, Emirates allowed at least two foreign films to be shot in Abu Dhabi. After the shoot, the Emirates government carefully analyzed Syriana and The Kingdom to the extent that several scenes were deleted from the original film. This kind of censorship that the authority made spoiled the whole story but as their defense, they just don't want to Abu Dhabi to be depicted poorly since they were actually working on tourism as of the moment. The question we have right now, is Emirates ready for opening its doors to the world film industry? Maybe not, maybe yes. The two films shot in Abu Dhabi in the last four years showed that there was indeed a strong will to start opening their doors for the foreign film industry. Closing the doors once more? Perhaps there was no reason for us to worry more about the film industry of the United Arab Emirates because they were surely having good movies with them because of the hard work of the people who wanted development and changes but in this case, what we were trying to work out is the realization that they need to open their doors more to let the foreign people see what is good inside their country. Despite of their attempts to do this, their beliefs still goes in the way. Promoting their land as a location for foreign films do not need strict censorship most of the time. In present, they were trying to attract foreign film makers not trying to place negative impression on them. If they want foreign film industry in their land, perhaps they are in need of considering reality and not mischiefs. In what they were trying to do, United Arab Emirates was really close in closing their doors from the people. Films weren't made to deceive people. It was a way to make people see what is reality.

Cronic Hunger Essay - 866 Words
Chronic Hunger People often misunderstand and misuse the word, hunger. Hunger isnââ¬â¢t the sound our stomach makes due to not eating for a few hours. Hunger is a disease that arises when people donââ¬â¢t get enough food to provide the nutrients to experience a healthy active life. Hunger is a reality and growing issue. It is not an issue that has recently began; it has been on going for years. A person at risk of going hungry has surged since the start of the recession. Most people are ignorant to the fact that hunger is present and exists only in Third world countries, and not in First world countries. It creates low paying jobs that are needed, farm workers, gardeners, childcare workers, and restaurant workers. If there was not pover ty in society who would do these needed low paying jobs? Then there is the conflict perspective, it believes and states that because there is conflict in society there will be poverty in society as well. If there is wealthy people there has to be poor people, it balances society out. Wealthy people are self-centered and believe they deserve to be at the high position in society that they are. They view every lower class and poverty as a needed part of society, based on inequality. Over all the conflict perspective views poverty and conflict as a need and necessity to try to fix the problem of inequality. Lastly there is, symbolic interactionist perspective, which focuses on how meanings, labels, and definitions affect and are affected by social life. Society gives meanings and labels to everything. These meanings and labels affect the labeled and often cause them consequences. Individuals labeled, poor, are stigmatized as lazy, irresponsible, ignorant, and worthless. Soon they begin to believe and lack motivation to surpass this living. Due to these symbols existing and causing consequences to people there

Relationship Between Sex And Gender Essay - 1660 Words
The distinction of gender from came from the move away from biological determinism and conservative antifeminist politics. The meaning of gender will continue to develop and will continue becoming more fluid with time. Introduction The sex and gender distinction is an idea that has been rethought as recently as the 1970ââ¬â¢s, with input from academics such as Ann Oakley and John Money. In this essay I will be discussing how biological determinism assisted in the development of the term gender, and the distinction there is between sex and gender. I will highlight the new definitions of sex and gender, while drawing upon works from sociologists and academics including Judith Butler, Simone de Beauvoir and Erving Goffman. I will be discussing the transition the sex/gender distinction has gone through, what this means for gender continuing to develop and how this will affect the social world we live in today. Defining Sex and Gender Sex and gender have not always had a distinction between the two definitions, both typically have meant in the past your sex and that was always believed to determine your gender and there was nothing really outside that binary. This is because of biological determinism, which will be covered latter in the essay. But in more recent times, there has been a more significant distinction placed between the two words sex and gender and their meanings. When defining sex it is typically defined as the biological state of ones body including genitalia,Show MoreRelatedRelationship Between Sex And Gender2402 Words à |à 10 PagesSex and gender throughout history have been used interchangeably.
